Murals are Lori's 'thing'. No mural too huge to tackle, no odd shaped wall too impossible to take advantage of, no ceiling left un-Micalengelo'd... the muralist in Lori simply comes to the fore and her energy and talent shine through in the final wall of art.
Before she starts on the mural, she will consult with you at length to determine what kind of look you want, what subject or feeling overall you want the mural to reflect. She knows that in the end, it's a wall you will have to live with or work with as a part of your life for a very long time.
Lori will be happy to give you a quote on any mural project you have in mind. Unfortunately, murals are only local projects, within a radius of 70 miles from Traverse City, Michigan.

The Marriage Tree - This work is typical of Lori's dedication to detail. The Marriage Tree mural has a charming story behind it... a special meaning to the people who commissioned the art. Because it is personal, we won't offer it up here on this site, but know that you can imagine with just a look at the mural which, by the way, represents an actual living two trees. Lori's signature work is found in the detailing of the branches and the leaves where they work their way up the actual corner of the wall and the walls and ceiling junction. One barely notices any geometric planes as visual interest is taken in the beauty of the tree itself (or themselves as in this case).

This work, too, represents the thought and imagination that Lori integrates into the mural subject. As in the ceiling inset mural above, which is just one of several ceiling insets included in the job, Lori interprets in paint and brush, using amazing perspective techniques presenting an end product that is both unique and pleasing to the one who commissioned it and to all who view it.

Keep in mind, Lori is available for any mural work within a 70 mile radius of Traverse City, Michigan. She will consider other commissions further away, but terms would have to be negotiated.

Lori is not afraid of bears! Very nice mural on a barn.
Huge Tree Mural in a great room setting . To the right, tree detail
-- BATHROOM TROMP L'0EIL (art that 'fools the eye') -- Something a little different for the smaller bathroom (this one is a very tiny half bath). When you have no room for a small library table or a ledge with flowers, call Lori. The art brings smiles and company is entertained... just be sure to tell all not to grab for the matches to light the candle, or the little book on the lower shelf!
